Paul Deitch Counselling

About Paul #01

Personal Biography and Professional Experience

Paul qualified as a psychotherapeutic counsellor at Re-Vision Centre for Integrative Psychosynthesis in London where he also worked as a counsellor for their counselling service.

Paul spent seven years (2001-2008) working as a counsellor for Raphael Counselling Service in London. Over that time he helped many women and men from ages twenty to seventy with wide-ranging concerns and difficulties.

His clinical experience extends to working within the National Health Service (2007-2008). At Jules Thorn Day Hospital, St. Pancras Hospital in London he worked closely with a multi-disciplinary team of mental health care professionals (including psychiatrists). In addition, he facilitated a weekly seminar group for patients called Mental Health Matters.

Prior to becoming a counsellor Paul worked as a professional actor and in business. He brings this diverse depth of experience to his own way of working which draws mainly on the ideas of C G Jung. However, his practice and also the current research, supports the fact that it is who the counsellor is and the working relationship that makes the biggest single difference to the success of the counselling rather than the type of therapeutic approach. In recognition of this, Paul's work is defined by his attention to the individual needs and concerns of the people who see him.

Paul is married and is in private practice in Muswell Hill in North London. He has a diploma in psychotherapeutic counselling and is an accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). He abides by its ethical framework and professional conduct. He is also registered with the UKRCP.

The wide scope of Paul's background and experience reflects the diversity of the people he works with in his practice.
